A little "Bump" in the road

Brad and I are visiting this weekend and Jonah is having a difficult time right now. I'm glad we're able to be here to help and encourage when we can. Jonah is on medication for his infection but with prayer and these meds, I'm sure he will be feeling better soon. He has grown so much in 3 weeks since we've seen him and is such a darling baby boy. I put up some new pictures of him... one without his ventilator last week, and one with Scott before it was removed.

Scott and Amy are faithfully by his side each day for hours, and of course they need your prayers for strength and encouragement. After just one day, it takes it's toll on me, so I know they are getting their strength from the Lord. Pray also that the new medications for his blood pressure would do their work. Jonah is still a very sick little baby, but we know that God has a purpose in all this. We still don't know what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future. "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12 This is what Scott and Amy are teaching us. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6 Keep believing for Jonah, Scott and Amy and thank you again for your prayers. With Love, Nancy

I have been thinking of Scott and Amy lately and know how hard it is on them but what a wonderful witness they are to everybody and how much they love little Jonah so I wanted to leave this passage that I found in Ruth for them.

May the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, bless you for it."
Ruth 2:12 (TLB)

God bless you and keep you close to Him.

I just found out from Scott that they are putting a new/bigger ventilator in him this morning because he's outgrown the other one.. it's too small. Pray for his comfort please and for us all to continue to trust God in this. The antibiotics seem to be working a bit. Nancy

The baby who had "0% chance of survival" has outgrown his ventilator! Merciful, Omnipotent Father God, unless You reveal a different plan, I continue to ask that it would please You to allow Jonah to live and thrive...that he may live to tell his own story of our GREAT God. Thank You for Isaiah 40 which tells of Your greatness.

Is 40:11
Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, (especially Scott, Amy, and those walking closest with them through this valley.)
In His arm He will gather the lambs and carry them in His bosom (especially precious Jonah);
He will gently lead the nursing ewes. (especially Amy)

Thank You, Father, for all You are doing that no one can see, particularly through Scott and Amy has they teach others to trust and follow You.
