Thank you for continued prayers

Friends and family,
I'm writing because the last blog said we would keep you posted on Jonah's condition. This has been an extremely emotional day for the family because Jonah is struggling with his breathing. The doctors called a meeting with Scott and Amy to let them know what they are thinking. As Scott said, they don't call meetings unless it is important. Basically, Jonah's liver is so large that it is infringing on his lung space. We knew his liver was large, but I guess it's really large. This happens with children with PKD. The doctors have said that there is "more chance that Jonah won't get better than that he will." Not good news to hear. However, as Scott and I were speaking he said his lungs were working well at that time. :) We also must remember that we heard bad news 5 months ago also. So...we will continue to pray for sweet Jonah and his parents. We are trusting God and know that His will is the best for all of us. We pray His will be done and for His peace and comfort for Scott and Amy as they go through this difficult time once again. We are so grateful for your concern and love for this family.

I had the pleasure of being with Jonah today. He is so precious, I have been praying all day for healing. Scott was with him at the time and I was blessed by the tender caring that he has for Jonah. Jonah has two of the most loving parents.

Jer 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. Those are words to live by. Our lord has a plan for Jonah and we have to trust in him. He is a precious little guy and a gift from God.

Praying for all of you.

Dear sweet Jonah,

Do you know how many people love you and pray every day for you to get well? You are such a little fighter and have taught so many grown ups how to live with courage and faith. One day, your mommy and daddy will tell you about all of the challenges you overcame and what a miracle you are. You may be tiny, but the impact you're making on this world is larger than you could ever imagine.

Sweet, sweet Jonah, we pray that you feel the love, peace, and healing all around you. We pray that you are comfortable and not in pain. We pray that you continue to defy the odds and show the medical community that their efforts are not in vain. We pray that your mommy and daddy know how special they are and how in awe we are of their perseverance. We pray, we pray, we pray.

Oh what comfort! Thank you precious Lee family for being faithful to check in on Jonah while on your "adventure." Scott and Amy, this is another Creation family (we met up at the Creation museum in September.) Oh that you might get to take Jonah some day! We MUST pray for the Lord's will, but we CAN pray for His will to be a miraculous healing, that it might please Him to bring glory to His name through Jonah's own walk with his God. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your gracious favor and ask that we would focus on Your goodness to us all.

Praying and thought of you all when I read this today...
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
Romans 8:26-27
What a sweet reminder...when we are too weak even to pray the Spirit intercedes for us. Thank You Lord.
